The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee concert promoted by Cherry Tree Cricket Club on 5 June 2022 from 2.00pm to 7.30pm promises to be an outstanding event for all the family. Blackburn Symphony Orchestra will lead an open air concert with a large choir and other artists supporting the Orchestra on the day. A specially constructed stage will be built on the cricket field with guests invited to bring tables, chairs, bunting and flags, sited around the field, for a feel-good jubilee party. During the afternoon the orchestra will be joined by Blowjangles street band, a community choir and ‘old time music hall’ singer LeeAnn James, finishing with a rousing ‘last night of the proms’ orchestral finale.
